ARTIST BIO
Currently my work explores natural landscapes and organic objects reconnoitring how they can provide a metaphorical narrative from human emotions and feelings. I try to think of my sculptures as utensils that extend and project conversation and communication.
I aim to capture ephemeral emotions that people experience within natural spaces, but I also consider natural matter that I find in them. I like to create and provide a story for these objects in hope that they will reciprocate the emotions, feelings, or events that individuals often feel in these submerged environments. Creating a narrative that comes with these processes and evoke a child-like chatter within spaces to create nuance.  A process that tends to become clearer through doing. I like to move these found materials back into refined pieces of work and give them autonomy through the work as if they are part of a material exchange, physically and metaphorically.
